Constitution Day and Inter-Religious Prayer Gathering

The Constitution Day and Inter-Religious Prayer Gathering was
organized online for all the students and faculties of our college on 26
November 2020 at 4.30pm. The programme began with introduction of
the celebration by the MC, Mr. Mukesh Soni. Ms. Mary Imelda,
welcomed all the participants. The distinguished faculty members read
the holy scripts meaningfully from the holy books of Hinduism, Islam,
Christianity, Jainism, Sikhism and Parism. Mr. Munichowdappa N, the
Coordinator, spoke on national integrity, unity, secularism and the
significance of celebration of Constitution day. He informed the students
to be aware of societal issues and not to be influenced by wrong
messages by various groups. The event was presided by Rev. Fr. Arun
D'Souza SJ, the Director, SJPUEC. He emphasized on the significance
of religious harmony. Later, the Preamble to the Indian Constitution was
read by Mr. Victor Antony, the Principal. The National Integration
Pledge was also administered by the principal. Short videos on making
of Indian constitution was also screened. Vote of thanks was delivered
by Mr. Munichowdappa N. The programme was concluded with
National Anthem.
