  • Teacher's Day Celebration

    The Teacher's Day celebration at St Joseph's Pre University Evening College was a grand success, thanks to the efforts of the student council and the enthusiastic participation of the students and faculty. The event was emceed by Mr Vishal, Vice President and Shashwat, Junior vice president of the student council who kept the audience engaged throughout the program.
    The celebration began with a song, as teachers entered the auditorium, setting the tone matching the celebration. Joshua, Cultural secretary of the student council then led the assembly in a prayer, highlighting the features of a teacher, which was followed by a welcome speech and a short note on Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the inspiration behind Teacher's Day.
    Then Ms Hency, President of the student council took over, felicitating the teachers with student customised certificates, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. Continued by Hency's soulful song performance added to the emotional atmosphere, as the teachers felt appreciated and valued.
    Followed by the Director of SJPUEC Rev Fr Ashwin Cordeiro SJ, his speech emphasised on the importance of teachers in shaping the minds of future generations, and then gifts as a token of appreciation was distributed which was a thoughtful gesture to commemorate the occasion. The cake cutting ceremony was a sweet gesture, followed by an energetic dance performance by Poonam and team, which got everyone on their feet.
    Mr Sibin Titus delivered the vote of thanks, wrapping up the event with gratitude and appreciation for the teachers, organisers, and participants. Closing with the College Anthem.
    The Teacher's Day celebration at St Joseph's PU Evening College was a heartwarming tribute to the teaching and also the non teaching faculty, acknowledging their selfless contributions to education and society.
