On the first day of the visit, they were briefed on the establishment of the Manvi mission and its current work by Fr Maxim and Fr Leo. We interacted and provided career guidance sessions to the Loyola PU College students. In the evening we explored the campus and delighted to see the agriculture fields, livestock, hostel buildings and lake. They also played sports with the students in the evening. The dinner was swerved along with students in the hostel.
On the second day of our visit, they traveled to Pannuru, visited a kindergarten school and spent some time with the little children. We visited the Loyola School at Pannuru and participated in the Kanakadasa Jayanti celebration and interacted with the school children. They also visited the health care Center followed by which they interacted with the self-help group women and tried to understand the benefits and programs organized by them for empowerment. The lunch was served at the Church residence and they returned back to Manvi.
In the evening before dinner there was a short evaluation and they shared their experiences with Fr Leo Pereira SJ , the Superior of Manvi mission and it was a meaningful share and reflection on the visit.
This visit was a good opportunity for the staff to understand the difficulties of children, women and poor people of Manvi and Pannuru and also the services that Jesuit fathers are rendering at these places.
