“Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.” —Albert Einstein.

Welcome to St. Joseph’s Pre-University Evening College. This College is run by the Society of Jesus, a Catholic religious order founded in 1540 by St. Ignatius of Loyola. Its members, popularly known as Jesuits, have been active in the field of education throughout the world. St. Joseph’s Pre-University Evening College, a 42 year old institution is a part of the large educational Endeavour.

It’s a great joy for me to see the young minds fulfilling their desires of education in our institution. It makes them proud of their life here as Josephites.

Education goes beyond shaping a student as an individual and enhance his or her perspectives. A student has to begin to reach out towards his/her development, seeking opportunities to expand his/her mind, imagination, feelings and religious consciousness. One needs to learn to move beyond self-interest and self –centeredness in relation to others and reflect the confidence and freedom of a mature person.

We welcome all the Young minds who have aspiration for learning. The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice.

Dear students, you have a wonderful choice in our esteemed institution to blosom yourself in Curricular and Co-curricular activities. You have a choice to inculcate three fold goals of Jesuit Education: Academic Excellence, Character Formation and Social Concern. Let this learning process be a continual process.
Good wishes. Be a proud Josphite.
