Ignatius week was celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion at St. Joseph’s Pre University Evening College from July 22, 2025 to July 28, 2025. A weeklong celebration was organized to honour the life, teachings and legacy of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. The theme for the year was 'The life of St. Ignatius of Loyola'. The Holy Eucharistic Celebration was led by Fr. Paul Anand Prasad Sj, Administrator, Primary Section, St. Josephs Boys High School and concelebrated by Director Fr. Ashwin Corderio Sj. The activities like Quiz Prelims were conducted by Mr. Srinivasa Reddy & Mr. Dhananjaya and Finals was conducted by Mr. Derick Alan Pinto and Team 1 constituted by Andrew Simon J, Mohd. Nawaz, Monica Sweety and Mohd. Mehdi Ayub emerged as winner. Auraze Ahmed and Shaik Siddiq emerged as the winner of Collage Making competition which was coordinated by Dr. Govindaraju, Face Painting was coordinated by Ms Jagadishwari and Dr. Tirumalesh and Shaik Abdullah emerged as the winner, Drawing was coordinated by Mr. Arulappa and Shaik Abdullah emerged as winner, Essay Writing was coordinated by Dr. Ravindran for Hindi, Mr. Tippeswamy for Kannada and Divyashree emerged as winner and English essay writing was coordinated by Ms. Remya Ramesh and Hemanth Kumar and Mohd. Elyas emerged as winner. The activities found active participation from the students. During the assembly the students were given the brief extract about the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesuits. The Ignatian week was concluded by reflection session from Fr. Prashanth Wesley Dsouza SJ, who gave insights on the Ignatian spirituality and encouraged self-reflection. Chief guest Fr. Prashanth Wesley Dsouza SJ along with Director Fr. Ashwin Cordeiro SJ, Principal Ms. Thara T and Vice Principal Mr Bhaskar Y distributed the prizes to all the winners. The Ignatius week program was coordinated by Mr. Sandesh Kotian and Ms. Remya Ramesh.
