  • Kannada Rajyotsava and Constitution Day

    Kannada Rajyotsava and Constitution Day were celebrated on 26th November 2025 at St. Joseph’s Pre-University Evening College. The event was hosted by Mr. Thippeswamy, Lecturer in the Department of Kannada. The Chief Guest for the day was Sri H. N. Neelakante Gowda, a member of the Sahitya Academy, New Delhi, a noted writer, and a respected cultural thinker. Dr. Thirumalesh, Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, warmly introduced the Chief Guest to the audience, followed by a felicitation ceremony. Mr. Lakshman, a renowned folk-dance choreographer, addressed the gathering and spoke about the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka. He also presented a Janapada song that beautifully highlighted various social issues faced by society. Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cordeiro SJ addressed the gathering and spoke about the role of students in upholding cultural values and contributing positively to society. The Chief Guest further emphasised the importance of honouring Karnataka’s heritage and highlighted the significance of constitutional values among the youth. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Srinivasa Reddy, Lecturer in the Department of Economics. The celebration was a grand success, leaving a powerful message about culture, identity, and the importance of constitutional values.
