St. Joseph’s Pre-University Evening College celebrated Sports Day with great enthusiasm on 23 November 2025 at the St. Joseph’s Indian Institute Campus Ground, promoting teamwork and sportsmanship among students. The event was graced by Mr. Dhyan Kashyap N. M., international para swimmer and the first Asian to swim across the Palk Strait, as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, the Chief Guest emphasized dedication, discipline, and determination in sports and life. Prizes for various indoor and outdoor games were distributed to the winners. The programme began with an impressive March Past led by Mr. Andrew Simon J., Sports Secretary, followed by the formal inauguration through the lighting of the ceremonial torch. Track and field events such as 100m, 200m, relay, Shot Put, and Tug of War were conducted for both boys and girls, witnessing enthusiastic participation. 2 SEBA won the Best March Past Trophy, while 1 SEBA emerged as the Overall Champions. The valedictory function was graced by Rev. Fr. Vishal, who highlighted the importance of sports in character building. The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving behind memories of unity, energy, and healthy competition.
